Final Evaluation of Local Value Chain
Development (LVCD) Project
The local multiple-crop value chains development (LVCD) project was a new pilot approach that sought to engage smallholder farmers through their producer groups by linking them to value chain actors including financial and input providers, post-harvest management and value addition and adoption of improved agronomic practices, so as to improve household economic capacity and child well-being in Nzega and Igunga Districts of Tabora region.
The services provided included logistical arrangements, field coordination, quality control and supervision, data collection and facilitation of focus group discussions, data transcription and entry using word and SPSS respectively, preliminary data cleaning and analysis through debriefs.
